As of today, northbound trucks are forced to take the detour from 0600 to 1900. Between 1900-0600 NB trucks can run I15. No restrictions on SB trucks at all.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I wonder if this will get impacted again with the new storm entering the picture? It's supposed to be more powerful and have more rainfall than the last.

Every report that I have seen, has the majority of the storm passing through SOUTHERN Arizona. I hope they are right. They are only predicting small areas of storms for Vegas to St. George.
If you believe the weather prognosticators.Lepton1 and Ditch Doctor Thank this. -
NB was a breeze last night. Went through at 2100. No backup at all in either direction.
precisionpower and Lepton1 Thank this. -
been running the detour route for over 12 years , with a lot of traffic it can have it's moments, I haul all oversize and overweight loads and the 27 miles of I-15 thru Ariz do not allow over 51,000 lbs on three axles,, many times I was 130,000lbs to 140,000lbs and had to run what is now the detour ,,no big deal,,plenty of good quiet places to park and in Alamo there is a nice little grocery store to stop at..lots of good places for passing too. get over it guys ,all part of trucking. One advantage no crossing the AZ/UT scale in St George,,makes it easy to adjust your log book,,, In the old days there were not 4 lane interstate highways and 2 lane roads were they we went,,,
As for Cat houses they are all over US95 north of Vegas, still can't figure why someone would want to pay a bunch of money for poontang -
I'm guess, from the looks of some of those old bridges, that you couldn't have run old highway 91 with an overweight or oversize, before I-15 was even a thought in the minds of whoever thought it up.
As for paying for poontang, I'm not sure that isn't the cheapest way to get it. But then you may have to pay for the cure, afterward. . .

Fret not; there is an alternative to the brothels:
Was having a wee wee in the NLV Petro mensroom....
Some dude wearing a Shriner's Fez hat was kinda lingering around one of the stalls and said, "Is there anything that I can do for you"? He sorta had a hungry look in his eyes.
I'll be doggoned if I didn't seriously consider the offer.... -
I think being married could actually be more expensive than cat houses over the long term....plus marriage still doesn't guarantee a bit of poon!
v3nmous, Skate-Board and Big Don Thank this. -
we all pay for poon. it don't come free. it just comes in different forms of payments.
unless you have a FWB that don't mind late nite calls just for that.Big Don and otherhalftw Thank this.
