I5 Bridge Collapse in Washington

That is ridiculous!!! Exactly why bridges freak me out. I hope everyone is ok,can't imagine how they felt when that sucker went.

 

Wonder how much they will get paid from the state?

 

Reports by WDOT is overheight and overwide truck struck the girders and collapsed the bridge.

 

They just said no fatalities. Hope they're right.

I wonder where this alleged OD load is at that struck it.

 

Oh now they're saying it's presumed that it was a trucker, but they don't know for sure.

Prayers they are right that nobody died.. I went across Ogalala NE @ 3 yrs ago in heavy rain. Not 10 minutes later I hear on FM radio that bridge collapse. Not week later I went around the bridge.

 

They are showing a semi pulling/towing what looks to me like a large curtain van on a heavy haul trailer. There is a pilot vehicle with it too. It's stopped right past the bridge.

Eyewitness accounts are that other vehicles saw the trailer strike the bridge girder and shortly after that the bridge collapsed.
