Heading North around Baltimore & NYC..Jersey 295/495/206/287/ then 87 North or 84 East is a viable option to miss a majority of tolls and traffic.
Once you are north of NYC there are plenty of options to avoid the 95 driving drama and toll traps.
The stretch on 206 is about an hour drive, often with some attention and skill involved, some is tight quarters for sure.
Many similar roads exist.
It beats paying big toll bucks to pissed idling in 3rd gear for endless hours on 95 blowing profit straight out your exhaust.
I prefer the road less traveled.
Hitting an occasional stop light and dodging deer is nothing compared paying greedy states for the privilege to park on 95!
