Oilpatch pay about $38.00 an hour plus overtime after 8/day or 40/week.
Plus costs of meals and /or rooms if required. Long hours can be put in as waiting to load on oil well leases is logged as waiting time but you don't accumulate waiting time towards total work hours.
For instance, Jan 4 to Feb. 4 I made myself $15,000. plus my meals and rooms were paid for. My longest day was 12 hours.
As for owner operators, they have to be told that fuel costs to run the ice roads are atrocious.
I've run the ice roads hauling loads for my own customers so the dollars were OK as long as you're hauling oversize or overweight. Regular freight pays peanuts.
Check out Continental Cartage as see what their rates are.Cristiana Thanks this. -
I never Replied because I agree with all he said. And I Highlighted the parts I really truly agree with, Look where I'm from & you'll see why.Cristiana Thanks this.

Hey trucker 101. I have lots of relatives in Bonnyville.

I dont really know, I know alot of the shopw is staged and fake. but i also know some guys from minnesota that have went up and done it. they say other than worrying about falling through the frozen lake its actually easier than the winter in the lower 48 states.. as far as the lakes go there flat and they dont deal with traffic in the bad conditions like the lower 48.. I live in Montana have trucked in every province of canada and all of the lower 48, and have chained up more times than i can count. and have driven across wyoming and other states in almost zero visibility, kind of feeling my way down the road to find a safe place to park, dealing with traffic etc.. the colder the better when the roads are snow packed or icy.. this is another reason I can see trucking farther north better, if there is snow, ice, etc.. 30 below zero is actually a benefit when the roads are snow packed.. I stopped watching the show after a few episodes.. the only one I watch now is one on the speed channell called american trucker.. as far as the ice roads the only thing that would bother me is the fact that i coild fall through the ice? but not likely im sure or they wouldnt do it..

Going thru the ice does happen although not near as often as it used to. The equipment building the roads has also been known to break thru.
-
As far as falling through, I'd wear a DUI drysuit and keep a bottle of whiskey handy in the cab...

I have to ask this,
how do you drive a truck from Houston, TX to Adak, AK.?
There has to be more to this story, there is no iceroad (the topic of this thread),unless things have changed,
like Hell having frozen over. -
We should pm each other & see who we know.
