Yeah, don't even worry about saving fuel in this situation. If it's below freezing, let it run.

Ask yourself this question: are your dm or fleet mngr. going to be getting up in middle of night turning heat on and off ? Also in morning when you start out if there is a lot of ice & cars and trucks sliding off road you might want to park it because if you get into an accident your company is going to say " we didn't tell you to drive in this dangerous weather, we practice safety ! " , just be safe !

What's the big deal it's not like its going to get in the negatives or even close to zero. The ice storm is only effecting roads and maybe some power lines. What is she going to do when she really get's in cold weather. Yes idle if you are cold but 20 degree weather is not going to freeze up your motor. Gee's Louise.

Give her a break, she's a woman. Women are always cold. For example: I'd be in the living room watching TV and open the door to let a nice breeze in and hear "Close that ####### door, I'm freezing!" Come from the back of the house.

I was IN the negatives in Ohio not too long ago. The difference was, it wasn't laminating everything in sleet. I only had to deal with snow and a little chipping around the mirrors and lights. Tomorrow morning is going to be a #####.

All kidding aside, you just have to handle it the way you feel is best. If that means idling, then idle.

It will melt off as you go down the road. Nothing like watching it all melt and fly away doing 60 ish. By the way it's a nice 51 degree's blue skies. Little windy here in La Porte Texas. No Idling heck I don't even think the bunk heater is going to come on tonight. You guys keep the Cold and snow on the east. I'm going to enjoy this sunshine in the South. We back quiet.........
