    True, there needs to be a crackdown on businesses that operate like that.

    That said, why then is that a good thing, while holding aliens to legal immigration standards is not?

    Rules and regulations you believe in and that benefit you are much easier to support.

    It’s pretty obvious to me that the laws governing legal immigration for those of no skills south of the border pretty much preclude them from ever coming here so for people to tell them to come here legally is ridiculous because there is no path for them to come here legally. The whole reason they are coming here is to get work from unscrupulous American employers. If you crack down on them you will no longer see people coming up here. That has always been the problem. I don’t want them here either. I don’t want legal immigration either unless you bring something to the table. A willing pair of unskilled hands is not enough.

    No skills is a pretty broad term. The lady we sponsored had no "skills". She cooked, cleaned and helped me care for my bedridden Grandmother four days a week. 16 years later, she is a partner in little restaurant.

    The men my father sponsored over the decades all had big ranch experience and were mostly great horse trainers. Skills are only determined by the existing needs at any one time. One of those men was from Peru and he has since become a professional show horse handler and travels nationwide showing high dollar horses. No computer skills or college education needed. Some might not consider his skills of value, but he is living his dream and he did it legally.

    Yet , this jerks instead of trying to make things better in their country just simply leaving , making 15 children, and crying that USA owned them everything.
    No , no , no.
    Go back to where you came from, fight for you rights, and then maybe ask for asylum...

    What kind of long term ramifications will this have on the price of chimichangas and quesadillas? I think $8 is a good price for the meal if it includes rice and beans and pico de gallo.

    @snowman_w900 your thoughts?

    That is why I always advocate giving good cooks a fast track to citizenship. We need more good options in the USA, especially around truck stops.

    One problem.....they can't get freebies. Some may steal an identity here and there and get freebies, but most come here to work

    Bro, I'm not advocating for illegal immigration. I'm just trying to say that I understand why they are doing what they are doing. May not be right, according to our laws but people will do what they think is best. With all the hate, I'm only saying to put yourself in their shoes. People keep saying it took two years and such to get legal.any people don't have the means or time to do it right. Two years is a long time when you're in survival mode and I guarantee none of us on the forum would be following laws if it came to survival.

    I’m not convinced they’re not getting them in “sanctuary” areas.
