Ill try to help? A few years ago(my rig was in the shop)...so I used a rental truck....Anyway (Easter Sunday) scales were closed.Got pulled in Monday up near Horshoe Creek Idaho.It seems "The Penske Rental",didnt have Apportioned plates.Bang Head!. Shook down at a small Chicken Coop near Horshoe Bend? Headed to MC Call ,Idaho.Forced to buy an Idaho "Trip Permit" for $145 Bones(tore outta my pocket.Anyway went West thru MCall ,and turned on,I believe 95 North,headed sorta NW,.Net result i ended up by Colfax,Wa.Went right To Spokane.Never touched on Oregon.Gumper Thanks this.

It mighta been 195.I think I seen some bull haulers.Maybe restricted to a 48'. Didnt see any police.Think its Eagle highway 51 to McCall.Check a map,but,it saved buying another permit!

Ya,Im thinking 12 hours on a "Good Day" with your foot in it,((No Seattle traffic).Maybe sneak thru at 2am?

The Oregon permit is line 7 bucks

Ya know, in the end, sometimes, most times, the time and money saved doesn’t exist, and usually costs more.
Make sure you have the permit before you get to the coup.
