Idle Percentages

    People are talking about how the companies complain about idle amounts. Is there a percentage or time? If it is a percentage then on what? Amount you fill the tank?

    Percent of engine run time. Drive 9 hours, idle 1 hour = 10% idle time.

    The company I work for is 25% allowable idle time. Many companies are significantly less, especially if the truck is equipped with an APU.
