All in all it is a good idea. Just the cost and limited areas is prohibitive.

They have less locations, and are charging 20 cents an hour less than the previous organization, so how are they going to stay in business?

Lol! Meanwhile between name changes all their equipment has been tore up by careless drivers.

They'll never survive just like the cable TV pods didn't. It's hard to compete with mobile APU's.

    MrMustard Thanks this.

Idle-air has gone the way of the dinosaurs...the need for their services is all but extinct...

Like the dinasours, idle-air was large...they took over and dominated the landscape for a while, and perminatly changed the face of trucking..they had a good run...(and drove away all the lot lizards)
But technology finally caught up with them...

I mean who plugs a phone into their jack anymore?

I don't know any driver that still drives around with one of these in their truck, so he can plug it into idle-airs phone jack...I mean come on...

And those of us who do have the interenet...have moble remote access modems or use wi-fi hot spots...

Nor do most drive around with big bulky tv's in their truck anymore to use idle airs cable...

Driving has become much more streamlined since idle-airs conception...driving habits and styles have changed a lot....

I think I agree with that one posters premise about...it will last as long as the government business grant has money to fund it...and then it'll close again...

    Almost like Amtrak rail ways...

Yea I can't stand going into a stop with idleINMYWAY stuff. Its just in the way and creates more safety hazards in the already packed parking lots for trucks.

Yea why would you have a TV in your truck anyways. You should be out polishing the chrome and sitting in the drivers lounge instead of sitting inside your truck. Wait no nix that, You should acualy take your companies truck back to the yard and then go home and watch your TV there.
