The truckstops probably already own it, and since so many TA's are stuck with them - they'll probably continue to manage them in some way.

Consider the money it would cost to pull them all down.

They are dismantling the gear here at the Albert Lea T/A this morning. I will miss the hard wired internet that worked way better than any truckstop wireless networks around, but yes, they were way overpriced for what you got. It was a good idea around having to buy an APU, but the realities of what drivers are making and what they can afford to spend on the road was where they failed badly in their business plans.

I remember them dropping the rate for gold members down to 1.85 an hour because before it wasn't any cheaper to use it versus someone idling their truck. I agree with Zen, someone will continue to manage the idleaire... but on a limited basis. I think only a handful will remain.

I loved that service! It kept me toasty all winter and my co pays for it! I still say they shoulda went to a MONTHLY thing, where you pay monthly for access to all of them.

And there internet was the best currently available on the raod now that Flying J has decided to do some weird throttling crap. I got the news over the QC this morning, =(

Meh, it was just a T1. That's part of the reason they went under. Those things are way too expensive. 1.5mb/1.5mb for 400-700 a month plus usage fees last I looked.

They finally closed, Saw that coming. It was a good idea but to freaking expensive. Wonder how long it will take the t/s to remove there stuff and what the next idea for cable TV in a t/s will be. Any one remember the one where you hooked up to the metal post in the ground?

You mean Park-N-View?They didn't last long.A lot of the Pilots had them. Those bumps were good to use as chocks for when you were trying to slide tandems on a trailer with poor brakes.
