Also just to clear up that NO I did not say only optima makes a deep cycle. Go back and read.. I said only Optima makes a TRUE DUAL PURPOSE battery.

The Duracell I mention is a deep cycle.. Dont be in such a hurry to play gotcha game that you ignore and dont read or fail to comprehend what was written.

Only thing Im getting from this is y'all have some power hungry cpap's and coolers and weak butt batteries. Ive got an auto pressure cpap with humidifier and heated hose, a 12v fan and a plug in cooler and can run for at least 14 hours and still start the truck. All Ive got of batteries is what ever pete puts under the passanger seat which isnt much.

The cpap alone does not use much power, just buy the 12V plug Resmed and Philips both sell them. If you want humidifier and heated tube. I would get 2 Freedom battery system they are Lithium ion batteries and they are good for about 500 discharge and recharges. They recharged when your driving. You don't have to deal with buying deep cycle batterys or something under you bunk.

Petro sells a solid state capacitor battery to prevent start up problems if your batteries drain. Its expensive.

APU cheaper than idling. Hope you get better.

It's call a E S M ( engine start module) it's made by Maxwell technology they run about $1,000 plus installation.
    Installation runs around $500
No the avg. Person can't install it because of the wiring that needs to be changed.

After it's installed IT not you batteries is what starts the truck. It has 1,850 cca. Your batteries just need enough power to turn on the truck systems.

After the truck starts it takes about 5 min. for it to recharge

    APU's are not that cheap
avg. $10,000 installed and takeep 4-5 YEARS just to pay for them self (ROI) if you don't have anything more than normal repairs.

My Volvo has a fuel page on the display. When I'm idling the reported fuel flow is about 0.6-0.8 gallons per hour. That same display is dead accurate when measuring my driving fuel consumption, I'm not looking at instantaneous MPG.
