LOL...funny you wrote that. That exact thing happened last wednesday. The company had me take the truck to the shop and put me up in a hotel room until it was fixed.
Idling in summer.

Na I dont want to do that might mess up my beer alotment.I have a better Idea let the ones that ban idling pay for motels.Have you seen that they are allowing the Military to idle I have never seen a military truck or hummer with A/C.
-
I'd love to read about any trucker coming through here when it's 110 degrees at 10:00 at night actually sleeping in a truck without the thing running and no ac on.
Even if you could stand it, how could you sleep? -
I reckon they never gave a thought about
heat stroke.
Dehydration?
Will they see higher emergency calls to truck stops to save the life of a dehydrated, heat stroked Big truck truck driver?
Or to the multi-vehicle crashes if something happens due to a fatigued driver out on the highways?
-
Yes but I wonder how long it will take them to get there??
Stop for coffee or maybe a six pack or two.
Hope they bring me one
-
You forgot "clank" "poof" and all the expletives that follow thereafter, hehe.
-
You're right!
Thanx for reminding me.
Especially the "expletives".
(both when the APU gives up the ghost
AND when the repair bill comes.)

-
Hey I seen today Dallas either changed the rules or the news told it wrong..I think you can idle to sleep for log book regs.
-
So then,......... the cops who go knockin' on the doors and windows of Big trucks that are idling are only doin' that to wake a driver up to see if they're sleepin'?

WAKE UP!
It's time to go to sleep.

-
Well it could be the 311 phone # they give for reporting idlers.
