Not looking for an augment, just don’t understand why a lot of truck drivers idle their trucks for hours at a time when the weather is perfect. There can’t be that many trucks that won’t start after shutting down. I think they are the reason why a lot of Companies won’t let us idle to stay warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather, there’s also a lot of Towns that make us shut down the engines too.

It's not comfortable trying to sleep with the windows down. Can hear every sound plus with the windows down is a good way to get mugged.
Many companies don't care if the driver idles the truck while trying to sleep.

Not paying for the fuel nor paying for the repairs. "Not my truck" when it requires to be responsible for it but when it almost gets swiped "oh don't hit my truck:D:Do_Oo_O

The idling vibration lulls me to sleep. At a shipper/receiver I'm usually idling so a gallon or 2 isn't a big deal and no emission system to clog up. If I was otr I'd probably rig up a generator for Apu

You picked a company that lets you freeze in the winter and sweat in the summer and it’s my fault?

Perfect weather for someone who lives in Minnesota is probably not perfect for a South Floridian..

In 6 years OTR, I’ve never had a town tell me to shut off my engine.

The real reason I idle more than I should is because I hate Whales.
