I posted a response to someone's rant about Western Express.

I basically said, there are long term employee's at every "bad company"

I think it all boils down to one of many expectations.

1) The newbie expected more pay then promised, but fails to actually drive the miles, or becomes a truck stop trucker, meaning, he has to stop at every truck stop.

2) The newbie does not "really like to drive all day long" after all.

3) The newbie, "always wanted to drive, but failed to realize that this is a job, pure plain and simple.

4) The newbie doesn't really like missing out on Friday night drinking, "getting some" on a nightly basis, or just misses out on being with the guys. (me personally, I'd rather be with the girls, but hey, i'm a hetero),

5) the newbie just does not comprehend the concept of working for the weekly paycheck, and just wants a free ride
Now that is a funny post
6) when the newbie doesn't get what he wants, he tends to cry a river of crocodile tears and wants us to all feel sorry for him, and HIS dumb, stupid mistake of becoming a truck driver.

7) so therefore, the newbie feels compelled to bad mouth a company.\

Are ALL trucking companies really THAT BAD..??

Of course they are, no doubt about it. But to the newbie, he thought he was escaping the reality of life and his former job, for that of a lifetime living on........
