I remember in college going to a concert in St. Louis. I was on my motorcycle, and fueling up after the show a cop pulled in to fuel his car right beside me...told me not to linger, and that it would be in my best interest to not be there too long after he left.

As for gun fire, I hear it all of the time around my own house. Hell, sometimes I'm even the cause of it. Most of it is aimed at birds, coyotes, or the occasional piece of paper...nice, soothing sound it is...
