Yoday was kind of an odd day.
I can't say there weren't any loads I could have done today and I got a little messed up because of the time I got unloaded this morning, but there certainly was not a whole lot on the load board.
The volume seemed very low and a lot of the same loads were just regurgitated.
Right now it just kind of seems hit-or-miss.
If today is any indication...

This has been an odd week for me. For one thing it seems the volume of loads is certainly lower and the prices seem lower.
I think they're probably still are good loads available but you really have to work a lot harder and move faster to get them. And there are less of them.
The other thing is that the price of fuel now prohibits you from traveling any real distance deadheading unless the load pays some outrageous number which there are less of them now..
I've done well with the loads I did this week but it certainly would appear that making less money is going to become more the norm for now anyway.
And I had a great load lined up that picks up about 10 mi from where I sit at this moment, but I'm having a problem with my trailer that has to go to the shop and come apart unfortunately. Really sorry to miss that load but this has to be fixed immediately.
Sometimes it just happens like that. But I'm happy that I spotted it and I can safely get back to the garage to repair it.
Good luck to everyone in your endeavors and be safe.Siinman, Beaver9, Dadetrucking305 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I hope you get that fixed and be on your way.
Dino soar Thanks this.
