It sounds like the "winner" of the motorcycle cheated by buying fuel with his own money.
Why would the company care? It's less fuel that they have to buy. I'll bet the boss hopes that all of the drivers spend their own money to win a motorcycle that because of their crappy job, will hardly be home to ride.

I know for a fact drivers bough fuel at the old cfi (red racer) to win team/driver of the month award.

I heard the same thing about Schneider years ago. Buy some fuel out of your pocket, to make a fuel bonus.

    Take the hint.
Companies that are always advertising for driver's, especially when they run those full page ads in those glossy hand outs are doing it because they can't keep driver's.

I dunno, if I could spend $50.00 out of my pocket, to maybe make $3-400 in a bonus, why not?

I get a bonus every Friday from my company. Their weekly minimum pay commitment exceeds what my paycheck would be based on my mileage and accessoral pay. Its like being salaried.

Sounds like MVT should be called BVT. Come work for us and get the Blue Vein Throbber! lol

That guy had to have bought fuel out of his own pocket. I don't believe for one second anyone could sustain an average 11.5 mpg long enough to get a bonus.
