No , I wasn't referring to you . I was thinking of DTR members . The regulations aren't always properly worded . You have to use a specific weight when registering with IFTA and actual weight isn't consistent .

Well I am still trying to find a truck to pull it, I've moved to looking at big rigs, might as well since they are actually cheaper then the #### pickup like trucks that are needed to haul it.

The rule is basically once you reach the actual weight of 26,001 lbs, you are then under IFTA forward of that time.

And yes, the DTR bunch is another world.

My cousin has a 1990 Peterbilt 377 that he will sell you for $5000. he has it listed for $6500. He purchased a new truck and needs to sell this one. Its listed in our classified section, if your interested.

It is a good running truck and would be perfect for what you want to do.

Someone just pasted the rule, and it pretty specifically said "26001 lb with TWO AXLES". Her trailer has atleast 1 axle. Therefore she falls under "or 3 axles or more regardless of weight".

I'm not even going to bother to look it up . This is a well known issue in GA with hotshotters . The rule specifies POWER UNIT with 3 or more axles . There are hundreds of hotshotters running around with 1 ton duallies and 48' trailers under 26,000 lbs. No IFTA , no CDL .

I just wanted to point out something... If you can get a single axle sleeper truck, these are pretty much considered to be worthless by some people. Daycabs go for more money than these things! If you get a flatroof with a small sleeper, just take the bed out and put seats back there, and then its an extended cab. :p

Okay people, how is it I see many many other horse haulers with trailers as large, or larger then mine, pulling it with a 3500/4500 pickup... and you guys are telling me I can't do that legally o.0
