My books are lacking in detail, memory a bit fuzzy. Air brakes, try the outside firewall on the drivers side, switch may be mounted to the tractor protection valve. Hydraulic brakes, the switch is trigged from the brake pedal arm.

Look on or around the bottom 1/2 to 1/3 of the steering column, it should be either on a block on or next to the column. Should be located with the low air pressure switch, the cruise cut off switch and possibly other air switches. It looks kind of like an old style oil pressure sending unit. Btw all the aforementioned switches can look alike.

it should be easy to find but i am having a hell a time. I have the new switch, so i have an idea what i am looking for...maybe! I havelooked every where, I will look closer, I am 99% sure its in the cab.

They can be a trick to find sometimes and a trick to change (Large hands, small space). Usually when they go out they are leaking air which helps locate them.
Best regards -
not leaking, no brake lights
