Y2K, how the heck are you? Sorry I haven't kept up on the posting but getting up at 315 am every morning to get to Redmond for school has left me with not much energy at night to do some posting. Anyway, I graduated, passed my CDL test with flying colors!! Glad I went to the school in Redmond, 6 is the max class size, great instructors, lots of one on one teaching/coaching which I thought was great for the students that struggled in a specific area. Anyway now the job hunting begins, have waited due to some things I have to get taken care of before hitting the road. Anyway, just wanted you to know I was still alive and kicking, hope all is well with ya,

    Ron

Oh and I can relate, been working 12hr nights and only getting 4-6 hrs sleep daily.
Trying to get squared away to build a new home (OMG paperwork!)and move out the mobile we live in now before construction and figure out where we'll live in the meantime.......what a PITA!

That does sound like the BIG PITA. I guess I should bring my M/Home up there 4 ya to live in. Doesn't sound like there's really anything close to ya either, ie apt etc. How long to build your new place? Glad I'm not in your shoes. I guess you could take your wife, dive Orr for 4 months, come home when the house is done LOL!!
Good to year from ya, good luck with that project!

Adair Homes says 105 days start to finish but of course that doesn't include the time for moving out of the mobile home and having it moved from the site and whatever time from then till breaking ground on the new house.
We might buy a motorhome or large RV trailer if we do well enough on out taxes, getting them done today.
If not we'll look for a house to rent down in Yacolt Town a couple miles from here.
Yup a real PITA but the end result will be worth it.
This is our new home (flip of the plan).

Y2K that's nice, my sis has an Adair home in La Pine, well built and very good insulation package, they are really happy with it. Do they still have one level floor plans?

Hey! I just graduated IITR in Creswell Oregon this Friday. I graduated with very good scores 97.5 backing and yard, 98.9 testing (knowledge), 89 driving. 6 of us tested with the third party DMV tester yesturday........3 of us failed. Including me. We never got out of the yard! We preformed our pre trips, then backing, right out of the gate.
Never even got to the drive test, all 3 of us went down on the 90' back. FAILED. The entire state test OVER.
So, $4700 later, 4 weeks gone, $$$$ in DMV charges for endorsements, I personally put 172 hours in. $125 to the State tester and here I sit with no CDL. I already had a job lined up with May Trucking. Isn't that going to look good?
You can re-test .......It will just cost another $125.........everytime.
It's a good school with great people. Just make sure to get your moneys worth and feel ready when you test.

I used the information that I rec'd from IITR when I first began class to find my own job. They give you all the names and phone numbers of the recruiters that hire from their school before your class even begins. Just start calling! IITR would be very helpful in finding you placement, though

IITR is the same way with the training. LOTS of city driving. Near to no freeway driving. In the words of the instructors "what fun is that"? Freeway's boring. City driving is where you get all the excitement like, R/R crossings, Stop lights, stop signs, traffic ect. Then you go find a job and ride the freeways for 1000's of miles! Ha!
