Well you have no safety violations to record .... Talk to the HR people see if you can have it show as resigned instead of terminated and you will be fine.

The company has nothing to report on your DAC or CSA nor can they affect your insurance its all b.s.

File for your authority grab a trailer problem solved

Yupppers, the cars that tailgate you or pace behind you swerving from side to side are annoying.

Or driving at night and the car is in the lane next to you right at your bumper with his brights on. Jeeze Louise!!! Talk about blinding. I slow down, they slow down, I speed up to get away, they tag along. One time I got my old beat up flashlight and flashed my rear view mirror up/down, left/right. They turned brights off and sped off into the night. Whew!!

I've said it once I've said it a hundred times.... Get a DASH CAM !!! If you have a problem with a 4 wheeler, you can save the file to your computer or carry an extra SD card. I've had a couple issues with 4 wheelers, even other truck drivers and all I have to do is point to it where its stuck in plain view on the windshield, they go away... truck drivers usually shut up. Ya can't argue with video.

You get called in, all you have to say is you have proof that the 4 wheeler was acting in a dangerous manner and you have proof. Case closed !

I like the idea of the dash cam. It eliminates the scammers as well. I remember cars slamming the brakes for a "swoop and squat" maneuver. It was really popular in the 80's I remember.

I'm putting my dash cam on my wish list.

A very small percentage of drivers ever get calls from the public. My insurance had it at less than .1% for last year. And over 80% that get one call will have multiple calls in less than a year.

So with data like that it is hard to hold onto the "people are lying" as a way to ignore these calls. A company can blow off a single call but when someone gets the second call you have to be serious about the risk.

Now, 2 calls in a day puts things in red flag category for me as to if the callers are real (or from just one driver) until the driver starts telling stories. Now he just told safety all they needed to know. 2 different callers.

I thought about putting my number on the back of my trailer so they can call me man wont that be fun. But anyway no matter what you are going to get call ins lot of drivers get call in and their safty dept. will never follow it up because they know that most of the time its just some mad in a hurry jackbutt that ended up behind a slow careful truck driver. you should have told you safty to ask for the police report since you ran them off the road. But 33 years of experence you wont have a problem

If i called in on every truck or car that cut me of, tailgated me or did something stupid around me i would be on the phone all day long. If a company fires you for getting a call from someone and does not take the time to investigate or find out the truth to the complaint before letting you go, they where not worth working for in the 1st place IMO.

I've had calls go both ways at the previous carrier. One call bad 2 good in 11 years. The first one was the bad one. Saftey called and asked what was going on , somebody called in, explained, I can't even recall the details it was so long ago other than to say I gave my side of the story and they gave me the benefit of the doubt. I'd always owned up to mistakes when I made them prior to this, and they knew/know this. The other 2 I ended up getting phone calls from president of the company saying thanks. The first of the good ones was very rare, then happened again. For the most part no-one ever calls, especially the good ones. Like the idea of putting my cell # on the trailer doors LoL. Don't let them get into your head they are the crazy fool. Sometimes it's best to just slow down and let them go on. Failing that pulling off at the next exit and parking for 5 minutes should do the trick.
