I guess your right,.. I do not see the point in paying for a phone service that will only work in limited areas. Even if the bill is 50% of another carrier,.. I guess you get what you pay for when you only have 50% of the signal area. Thats the only logical comparison that I can deduce. I prefer to have a phone service that works when I need it and do what I pay for. Hurst
This is why I'm staying with my sprint plan. It works where i run. I don't go west of i35 that often so there's no need for me to change.
This I can understand and respect. If I were in a similar situation.. I would do the same. Just use a carrier that worked where I needed it to work. Hurst
I tried the open signal app when I was at home to aim my new cell booster I had to get when I replaced my shingles with steel roofing. It didn't work. When you first use it, it pointed one way, go to the map function, then back to the locator function, it pointed a different way...then it just started going around in slow circles...was pretty much useless in my area. I ended up just getting my 2 way radios out and slowly moved the antenna until my wife said she had the best signal. As far as phones go, it's not just the phone but the software (radio file). My wife and I have the same phone, but different baseband software. (Her phone updated itself, I won't update because the new OTA update messes other things up and causes problems with my FoxFi tether). Her phone routinely picks up 4g faster, and holds it longer than mine.
