Illegal immigrant truck driver; What?

Yeah I can rant pretty hard if you set me off lol. It's just how I see things. I've got a degree in economics which means I know just enough to be very uncomfortable with some of the stuff that mainline economics teaches. I'm really bothered by a lot of their assumptions.

EDIT: No that doesn't mean I'm some Austrian econ gold bug. Those people are at least as crazy as everyone else. Probably more. Ditto for the Anarcho capitalists talking about Ayn Rand all the time. They live in an alternate reality that is at least as alternate as the mainstream people live in.

Some of you are scratching your heads right now. This being an internet forum I'm probably about to get flamed by a bunch of people who get their economic information from mises.org.

 

That's exactly how Trump is looking at it,thousands of jobs.

 

Temporary jobs. It takes hundreds to build these things but very few to maintain them.

Yeah there's a strong argument for it as a straight up make work project. I'd rather we spent that money on redoing our roads and bridges but what do I know?

 

There's no profit in it. Much like the wall of course, but that's popular with the bigots so there's that.

For a guy who stumped on the fact Obama signed too many executives, he is going to catch and surpass him within a year....but hey, who actually pays attention to this stuff right? Obviously not the American voter...

It'll take awhile to build the wall.Least it'll be income for the unemployed.Of course not permanent.But if this wall is a successful project along with strengthing our borders that would mean millions of jobs for the Americans.

 

Well we all knew this was coming.Trump is keeping his promises like Obama did.

 

If you actually think our shortage of jobs has anything to do with illegal immigration there isn't much to say here. It's about corporate greed. It's not about immigrants.
