How many years since the phone law went into affect?
I still see drivers everyday holding a phone to their ear!
    Idiots deserve a ticket!

The drivers texting and riding all over the zipper when I'm passing really get to me too...It is EVERY dang day!
    Put the phones down dummy!!

I guess my question now is, is a unsigned inspection report valid and /or legal? I don't think that it could be, but I don't know

Believe I read in here that a CHP officer was going down the highway the other day using his computer and smacked into another 4 wheeler resulting in a fatality

Cops don't turn in inspections , warnings or tickets to your company . That is your legal obligation. How ever I won't attack you like others have but instead take your word for it . Perhaps the cop decided to inform your employer of the use of phone . Still don't see why they would fire you unless you have had too many other violations or drive for Wal-Mart.

I have had inspections, signed every single one good or bad. Then that paper goes straight into the company. No problems.

This situation is fishy. It smells.

The lack of clarity, detail and apparent assignment of blame off the OP causes me to ask one question, what is the real story here? I hate to be difficult here but Im not gonna let anyone skate arguing these kinds of inspections. I know #### well what is expected of both DOT man and myself during these procedures.

I have a feeling the truth will come out in these threads. You cannot ######## a entire forum of truckers all doing the same thing you did supposidely. Or did not do or failed to do.

So you got terminated. Big deal, there are reasons for that termination. Usually they tell you why in a big huge one way exit interview as they fire your ###.

What is it with the big bad horrible DOT man getting you fired? No, DOT man did not get you fired. You got your own self fired by not doing something correct. What is that you failed to do?
