Nobody big, some lady that has flatbed customers and gets loads off the boards. Should of started with her a year ago but you live and you learn.Vampire Thanks this.

Seems as if the can haulers in my area typically ride fairly nice looking trucks with custom visors, bumpers, chrome, chicken lights... they sure do make it LOOK glorious
Vampire Thanks this. -
Up here they are throwing parts all over the road. I drive at 75 on the freeways as a norm, I was passed by one of the Detroit can haulers yesterday, he was in the left lane (illegal here) passing at 80 and wouldn’t you know it, his flaring came off and hit a car.

Never trust anyone up north

It was worst in Florida and even worst in NY/NJ area, they have wobbly wheels.Vampire Thanks this.

When I'm in the Seattle area I see a lot of nice rigs pulling cans, there's money somewhere in it there.
Badmon Thanks this. -
Just because they have nice rigs does not mean there's real money being made. I know O/O here in Chicago, Indiana and Wisconsin that have extremely nice rigs, I mean paint jobs, chrome, all kinds of lights basically the works and only take home under $2000 a week. It's like that one guy know that has the real 'vett and you find out he lives at home and works at UPS as package handlerVampire Thanks this.

Lights and chrome and shiny paint dont always mean the truck is any good . I've looked at some real pretty used trucks that were mechanical nightmares.
Some of those guys spend so much on pretties that there's nothing left for the necessary stuff.
Also, talk to some of those guys with the dolled-up trucks and see how long they've been hauling containers. Then see if they're still around in a year, or even six months, from now. -
Like the local company’s arpund here. You can drive the brand new chromed out pretty trucks & make $300-$400 a week, or drive the old raggity looking (but well maintained) trucks & and make $1,200+ a week for the same work.
Some people dump all their money into the trucks, others like fatter wallets.Vampire Thanks this.
