    Ive dealt with winnebago county. They did thier best to extort money from me. I drove down there 3 times at 800 miles each (and I wouldve did it a dozen times) if need be. In the end they didnt get a penny.At the pre trial the DA offered me 3 years probation and a 700.00 fine. I told him to get bent Ill be back.

    They did we just scaled it this morning at the Rochelle petroleum it says we are 91800

    I wonder if a guy could go to a permanent Illinois state scale and ask to be weighed by an official

    you say..."we missed" did you have an escort? if so, wouldn't the escort company be liable for this? or "we missed" as you and your co-driver?

    For the road they were on that was not on the permit to be on.

    In the first post you said. 105000 pounds, so are the scales at the Rochelle Petroleum not certified?

    No that's what the portables the dot came up with it was 104540 then we wanted to check it on the Rochelle petri scale that came out to 91800 which is 12740 less than the portables
