My wife and I were traveling together she was my escort but we didn't need one legally, its less than 14 feet wide, less than 14 feet tall and less than 110 feet long it was really just a way to get home after we dropped the plant off
I called the Illinois state weights and measures he said the petro scale was certified the same time as the state polices we talked a bit about the weight difference he said they are not supposed to chalk the wheel while using a portable, and the ground has to be level which it was not now I need to see if they would weigh me again at a scale house?

I know the difference in weight should reduce the fine.
Maybe you get lucky and the ticket is vacated.
Not sure if I would want to drive to a state scale to verify the Petro scaled weight. You have "doubt" in your corner now.
    Good luck.

    alecnelson Thanks this.

I talked to my permit service about your situation. They had no advice.
They did say almost all state permits that are issued suggesting a county permit purchased for local roads.
Winnebago county permit is requested by 90% of their customers.
Except for Cook county. He doesn't remember ordering any other county permits for Illinois.
    Good luck.
