Well, at least I am a beginning flatbedder. Got my first load today. Practiced securing and tarping coils and what do I get for my first load? Square steel tube, 30' of it. Got to throw both my steel tarps and use what seemed like 200 tarp straps. I am whipped. Stopping by home tomorrow as the load delivers monday. Here's pic of my first tarp job, be gentle lol.

you went with CRST ?
-
Looks to me like you did a great job, but what the hell do I know. I have a Conestoga
Welcome to the brotherhood. -
Yeah, I'm pulling for CRST. No complaints yet but it is my first load. Already got called by an agent to haul a load of plywood from the same town I'm dropping this load...$870 to the truck for 359mi picks up after I unload and delivers next day.
It took me an hour to tarp this load. I know there is room for improvement. I didn't fold these tarps so wasn't sure how they would unroll, and there was a good bit of trial and error until I got it acceptable enough for me. I think I can knock it down to 30 mins next time. -
Good job,,i am interested in crst also, but options are limited in texas

It's official, now that you've done it once, you can bi#*@ about never doing it again.
Tarping that is. -
Inside every vantard is a flatbedder trying to get out. Looks good though.
LSAgentOZR Thanks this. -

Looks better than some traps I've seen. And they have 2 million accident free mile stickers on the truck...

good job there. and i wouldn't worry about rolling them back up and putting them away. you'll need the tarps for the next load.
LOL.
and everyone says lumber is a cheap load.
