Looks better than any tarp job I've done so far.

Looking forward to your posts and pics and welcome to the platform game.

30 to 45 minutes? That one looks like a good 2 hour job to me and if I don't circle the rig at least 50 times, I feel like I left something undone! The hotter it gets, the slower I go.

And a darn fine tarp job it is, too, I give him that. (Have already explained my rationale for the straps over tarp on shotgun. My pet peeve too.) :D

Yes, that is 2 tarps, you can see the seam right above the new bright yellow 4" strap in the middle. And no, these aren't on pallets, they are 30' long pieces of 1/4" wall 12" square tubing sitting on 4"x4" blocks. Crst requires 2 straps 4' from the ends and a strap every 8' though I know the regs say 2 straps 5' from the ends and 1 every 10'.

Oh, and I don't own any 6' drop lumber tarps. I have two 16x26 steel tarps and two 24x27 lumber tarps.

Oh, and my log book says a full 1.5 hours for the load. I was there a half hour getting loaded then an hour strapping and tarping. But I knew I was getting home for the weekend and getting a reset in...not that I would ever fudge my logbooks anyway dink

I think he has a very good question with that. Any info. for a driver just starting flatbedding is always good input.
