I'm Approved!

I am going to attend West Michigan CDL -- it's about the only school here in Grand Rapids, MI and a little better than a mill, but not much. 2 weeks training and then they give you the written and road test since they are a 3rd party testing facility in the State of Michigan. If I were going to drive solo with a company after school, I would never consider them because they will teach me to get my CDL -- nothing more. Since I will be driving with my roommate, I have the utmost confidence in his ability to train me to be a safe driver and teach me all the things the school didn't. His company said they will give him time to make sure I am ready to be a full fledged team member before they start running us as a team, so I am not feeling 'pressured' to rush through the training phase -- and, I don't have to worry about getting stuck with a trainer that I don't get along with or who won't answer my questions or teach me. He loves his truck, and he will make sure we are both confident in my abilities before he tells them I am ready to 'move up'. I will definitely keep you all posted on my progress. After the holidays, I will be getting one of those wireless internet cards for my laptop -- probably Sprint or Verizon, as those 2 seem to have the best coverage where he runs.
