I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Unloaded (finally) at HH Gregg in Indy, only to find the other preplans removed.

They were replaced with a Sam's run to St Louis, then a red eye to Ogden UT.

Okay then.

 

Had to spend the night at Sam's. Having breakfast at Hardee's (not my favorite but probably won't kill me). Waiting for The Hot Chick to finish up in the ladies room so we can begin our journey to Ogden UT, which will be the first time she's been west of I-35.

 

Expecting her to burn up her camera.

 

Yeah, it'll be a real treat. Blew half the day today getting going though. Getting lunch, quick splash of fuel, then scram. She thinks she knows what mountains look like, having lived in western North Carolina (hee hee hee hee). From Ogden they'll get me to the Rancho Cucamonga CA yard for the truck's federal inspection. We'll probably get a 34 there and visit that giant mall at Ontario, near the truck stops.

 

Forgot my loaded call. I have been demoted from Captain Zoom to Pudding Head for the remainder of the pay period. (Pay period ends midnight tonight)

 

40,000 pounds of chocolate candy. And they gave us a couple of candy bars. So, you know, The Hot Chick got two candy bars. She made me ask about a Hershey dedicated account (no joy, but they work with Hershey a lot).

I'm not going back to reefer. No, no, no, no, no.

They pay a 2 cent premium for reefer. Hot Chick got that info from Dispatch.

Not pulling reefer.

Hot Chick says detention after one hour (she has the handbook).

Sigh.

 

Her Royal Highness has agreed to shut up about reefer. For now.
