Mine was a drop also; I had to wait around for 45 minutes until the receiving guy showed up. Then it was quick work to do the swap and zip over to the yard. This morning we met the new fleet manager, presented her with a half pound lump of chocolate, picked up around the corner, and are spending the night at Petro just south of Milwaukee so the next pickup will be at the drop yard in the morning. Taking that one to Fort Wayne tomorrow, then to parts unknown.
Zippa zappa frappa foom.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Laundry day. The stuff is getting expensive. With The Hot Chick on board we do laundry weekly and it costs around $10 usually since it's usually 2 loads. $10/wk X 50 wks = approximately $500/yr on washing clothes. Accountant told me to keep a log since that's deductible. Still--sheez.

Time to start organizing and compiling tax information. Although next year I'm firing my accountant since they do nothing for company drivers except collect their monthly fee and e-file after you've done all the math yourself. Also thinking about signing up for TVC and firing Drivers Legal but jury is still out on that one. Might even get to know an attorney and keep a retainer fee in the bank. Drivers Legal collected my money for three months before I found out I was never enrolled properly. They're making it right but that kind of lapse makes me nervous about trusting them with my CDL.

What is TVC? (I'm so acronym challenged)

Trucker's Voice in Court (those annoying people at the kiosk in Pilots and some TAs who bark at drivers trying to get inside to pee)

General Mills, Fort Wayne, IN. 3 hrs for a drop and hook. Better than 2 of those waiting to get in the gate. Houred out and lost a preplan.

Picking up somewhere nearby and headed to Lowe's in Rockford delivers tomorrow, then reload right there to St Louis, then zip over to Pontoon to put this truck in the shop. Again. Hoping it isn't too long this time.
(Engine light on again, plus occasional hesitation under cruise)Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Stuck in the midwest again? Hope you are making money at least.

Just out of curiosity, while you're driving do you, listen to music? talk radio? stare out the windshield? tease Phredd? hold deep philosophical conversations with yourself or the Hot Chick?
Dominick253 Thanks this.
