Spoke with a couple guys at Riverside Transport (RTI). They seem pretty happy; one guy showed me his pay stubs for last six weeks--avg $1500 (net).

I've looked into them before. They weren't hiring at the time.

Hot Chick is going to research cost of insurance with minimal government intervention. She is not opposed to the idea, but only if we can afford to insure ourselves properly.

I can go either way (keep the juvenile comments to yourselves, peanut gallery). If I can afford proper insurance the extra freedoms available from a smaller lease company are nice. Then again there's a lot to be said for remaining a company driver.

I wish I weren't looking to make a change, but I can't afford our medications. And that's with no rent or utility payments in my budget. Less than 2400 miles in the last two weeks. Loyalty only gets you so far.

 

Hot Chick wants a Chihuahua or Yorkshire Terrier named Godzilla.

 

I'm going to fish or cut bait in two weeks time. I'm either moving or sticking it out after the first of the year.

 

I know, I just like the name Godzilla for a tiny dog.

I want a pair of Great Danes named Oof and Thud. Doesn't mean I'm gonna get them.
