    Well, got going, got to the top of Cabbage with no problems, then CHAIN LAW. There was ZERO ice or snow on the road.

    Oregon.

    Lost most of the day screwing around with the chains. Last time I chained was 9 years ago. I'm older now and in worse shape. I couldn't finish and ended up paying a guy to help me out. On the other side I messed around for almost an hour and ended up paying another guy since I didn't have a pair of heavy pliers to untangle the latches.

    This is why I don't chain.

    Haven't done any kind of training in about eight hundred years. After my double failure at chaining yesterday, I can barely move. Guess I've found my new years resolution.

    That's right--no more chaining.
