I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Believe me, I thought about it and if I stay in Indy I'll most likely move there when it's time to get off the otr train. For now I'm going to stay otr and play it out. If my mother can get her meds again (she's appealing her insurance company'd decision to stop paying for her pain med that worked) then moving is out of the long term plans.

 

Corporate shut down on I-70 east of Salina KS to Kansas City. I'm in Salina. Delivery scheduled 0600. Then 500 miles home by Thursday night. But I'm shut down. Sigh.

I'm thinking I won't make it home in time for my doctor's appointment. Hot Chick is upset. I'll be able to use Celadon's clinic but she can't.

 

Keeping an eye on KSDOT, maybe those #### plows are getting to work and we can go in later. I don't want to have to wait another day.

 

Keep reading about this end of the world economic slump and stock market crash. Are we headed to another Depression that the media will refuse to identify as such? Who are they going to blame now that their Golden Child has been in office for two terms? How's that Iran deal working out since they started dumping half a billion gallons a day into an already saturated market? Gotta wonder why everything is crashing....

We need some grownups in charge, stat.

 

Ugh, woke up feeling extremely nauseous and like my whole GI tract is about to explode. Sitting on the can with a plastic barf bag hoping something gives and soon; this is excruciating. Add the fact that I'm about to pass out tired from sleep interruption and I'm in a fairly miserable state. Hot Chick is awake now too, worried about me.

 

No, aack. I had spaghetti and meat balls at Grandma's Diner at the big Pilot in Salina. Hot Chick thinks it was the oil from the oil and vinegar dressing on my salad. I'm back to normal now but zero sleep last night.

 

Couldn't sleep last night on account of I was dying and all. 0200 or so I checked the QC-- shutdown was lifted. Got dressed and hauled boots to final, made it right on time.

When I checked in they complained that Gordon had called and said I wouldn't be here til 1100.

They should have maybe checked with me first.

They're unloading me but it is throwing off the forklift driver's groove (very limited space so they had changed their plan to work around me showing up at 1100). I hate disturbing a groove.

 

Empty, sitting at the Pilot in KC waiting for next load which will likely be a Sams load which won't be ready til this afternoon which is fine since that will give me time to hibernate for a couple hours.
