It has been a disaster from day one; Wage Lock is kind of a bill of goods and they jerked me around straight out of orientation. The main reason I went back was for the possibility to do local work around Fayetteville NC in the future; recruiter said they now have a terminal there and it would have been ideal in a year or so. It isn't a terminal, just a drop yard--no local. Should have waited a year and went straight to Old Dominion or something. I wanted to be established and have benefits straight out of the gate.
Stupid decision based on misinformation. I tried to make it work anyway but they seem to be actively trying to run me off. Several incidents I won't even mention on line, in addition to what I've related.
Short version is I'm being micro managed into oblivion by people with absolutely no clue how this whole trucking thing actually works on the street.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Please don't feed the trolls.
I'm looking at maybe opening a blog and getting off posting here eventually. If I ever get around to it I'll happily PM the address to anyone who wants it.
I don't answer to anyone on this forum, and I don't post everything that happens, good or bad. Most of you recognize that and realize you aren't really equipped to second guess me. Those who are looking to validate their irrational hatred of large companies are ignoring a large part of my lengthy thread here.
I will acknowledge that leaving Gordon was a huge mistake. However, although they pissed me off sometimes, they were overall a good company, even with the teething pains of Heartland taking over. And somewhere there are Celadon veterans who are doing fine. I'm relating my personal experiences and I can't help if some people lack the intelligence to recognize that they are not the universe ("I don't like XYZ, therefore XYZ should be wiped from existence"). I have always said that I will not vilify a company, although I've come dangerously close this morning. Celadon will continue to function after I leave; they won't even notice I'm gone. I don't like them. It isn't working for me, after I tried to make it work. I'm leaving. End of story.
The trolls are going to continue to "criticize" no matter what I or anyone else says. It doesn't matter what I say or do, some troll is going to want the last word, like a fifth grade bully making fun of another kid on the playground at recess--there is no discussing anything with people like that. So, I'll just let them have the last word and strut off in their vast intellectual and moral superiority in search of something else standing that they can knock down. Worst thing you can do to somebody that sanctimonious and self important (classic politician) is to simply ignore them.
The family tragedy was unfortunate in its timing because a couple of bullies now think they have run me off while I was feeling with matters of actual significance. Truth is, this forum is a lark, a way for me to pass the time while I wait for a slow waitress or to unload. I doubt any of the trolls would have the nerve to stand in front of me (or anyone) and talk like that where there would be actual consequences. They hide behind words like "criticism" and "You're on a public forum" but lack the character and basic intelligence to say anything constructive, ever. But when the smoke clears they are no different from the CB Rambos who talk #### like pros but only on the radio, never in person. They only want to stir up trouble and see how much they can get somebody worked up.
I don't play that game. Eventually, when ignored, the trolls either get bored and leave or escalate things to the point that they end up getting barred by a moderator.

Holland Enterprises. Figure if I'm running reefer I'm tired of being a set of data points on somebody's computer. They're a smaller outfit.

I worked there. The only reason I left was because we moved out of their hiring area and they could no longer guarantee my home time.
