I heard that the Paccar motor itself is a good motor, it's just all the after treatment crap that is on it is causing the problems as well as all the other motors. I heard a show about oil analysis and I guess the Detroit and Paccar have the best wear numbers out there.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

I'm just giving ya a hard time! Don't take everything so personally! We can all have fun and enjoy each other's posts. And I do enjoy your posts but ya I guess I'm a troll and I'm fine with that. I know who I am and what I've done so I'm good.
Happy trucking. (Mega trucking that is lol!!!!)
Sincerely
The troll!Captain Zoom Thanks this. -
No worries dude...a definition of "troll" is the guy who knows, just KNOWS, that his opinion or point of view invalidates all others and anyone who doesn't do what he says must be a complete imbecile.
A guy who yanks your chain for the fun of it is a definition of "a guy."
Anyway, like I said, you were right about the "limited experience" thing--I wasn't being sarcastic about not really being qualified to give advice on that motor. Ask me about a FIAT or old school Nissan sports car, however....sliver Thanks this. -
Good to see you back and I apologize for any offensive posts I've made. I do enjoy your ramblings. Lol. Can we all agree no can we all get over our selves and enjoy some good reading and posting yes yes we can. Carry on captain
Dominick253 and Captain Zoom Thank this. -
No offense taken brother, dissent and "chain-yanking" are two things that are very different from trolling.
Have a beer <pops the cap off a bottle of Guinness>sliver Thanks this. -
Frackin' bunk heater gave out and it's too cold to sleep but too warm to idle. I'm running it as long as it will run. Three days to the yard....
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
My bunk heater never seems to keep truck warm. It runs and works but just does not seem to do it job.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Is it electric or diesel fired? I had one that was electric once, that would barely keep me warm if I preheated the bunk, closed the mid cab curtain, and lowered the top bunk. And slept under a comforter. With a big dog snuggled up to me.
All the diesel fired heaters I've had would chase you out of the truck, overheated (when they're working).Dominick253 Thanks this. -

I'm running a paccar engine right now also and I noticed the engine brake is non existent. Barely works. I'm not a fan of them.
Dominick253 Thanks this.
