Actually it was a week late, for the third time--last two time off requests were same as this one ( low priority).
I do appreciate the sentiment, however. I've stressed enough.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Got a call this morning from Dispatch. At 0615. Asking if I was going to be able to see my father this weekend. He seemed upset for me that I could not.
At least he's trying. He's the younger one. The other guy doesn't even listen to me. That's the guy who keeps spooching up all my plans.
The younger one apologized profusely for my missing time with my parents. He did what was in his power to get the truck fixed but couldn't do much else. I understand that much. I just can't afford to rent a car for the weekend to go to Fayetteville to visit my parents. That will have to keep til I can get routed down there. The younger guy is a decent fellow but inexperienced and his hands are tied in what he can do for a driver. -
I'm less upset that my dispatcher can't help me out to see my parents (like renting me a car) and more irate that I apparently can't make plans ahead of time to begin with.

Movie with The Hot Chick. Back to the truck to get laundry. Go do laundry and maybe get a hotel for the night. Money kind of tight so that's a maybe. Leaving Monday morning to deliver this load then empty move back here to get the truck taken care of.

I guess you got that pesky toe scratched?

Took some advice and gave a Chihuahua a quarter to gnaw it off. Doesn't itch any more.

Feet feel like hamburger. Legs feel like lead sticks. Back feels like a mushy bucket of ouch.
I'm really out of shape. And I need new shoes. -
Hot Chick got her hair did, we dropped off the rental car, and we are en route to Hickory NC to deliver tomorrow morning. Stopping at TA in Mocksville because of the Wal-Mart behind it. Might get lunch. Then moving to Hickory area.

Delivery went smooth, started to move back to Kernersville and got a dispatch to Bristol TN going to Robert LA. When I called, dispatch was mystified. He got it straightened out and the preplan was removed. Headed to Kernersville to get the truck straightened out, then to parts unknown.
Making up my mind between renting a car to go to Fargo (more expensive initially but a good chunk of that is reimbursed) or just catching the train (easier but hard for me to sleep without my CPAP).
If we hop the train we gotta get some more luggage. -
Which way is most cost effective?
