This ground has been covered....
Benefits package runs around $155/wk inclusive (health, dental, vision for me and the family). Bennies at Holland will be more expensive but the pay is better. And the equipment. And I'm pretty sure they'll get me to my time off in the same week I requested it because a trained monkey can recognize a date on a calendar.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

610 miles today. One hook, one live unload, one long drop and hook. Ended at a shipper with one minute on my 14. Had to use line 5 to get to nearest safe and legal parking, which was 9 miles in the wrong direction. At least they can't say I was progressing the load....

$#@&!! Alarm either didn't go off or I didn't hear it. I'm an hour behind schedule. Not late, mind you; I'm just behind my own schedule. I'll still be a couple hours early for my delivery appointment. 'Cause I know what I'm doing.
-
You have the WORST luck.
-
This one wasn't luck; it was me waking up half an hour before the alarm went off and rolling over instead of just getting my lazy rear end out of the bed.

At the yard in North Little Rock. Put 'er on duty (secured from driving status) with 00:00 showing on the clock. Managed it before a violation.
Speedco for a PM first thing tomorrow (bobtail over there off duty) then back here, hook, and go. Headed to OK (don't remember the town but it's down 35 not far from Texas border). I'll make it tomorrow afternoon sometime. Then whatever. -
My givadam is busted up pretty good.

As the great philosopher Chewbacca once said:
Raarh. Rarraaraargh. Grrrrrwhuff. Rargraaaaarh.
I think that says it all. -
My delivery appointment was changed this morning from 0800 tomorrow to 1330 today. I am just over 400 miles from the receiver and currently in the shop (flat tire discovered during the PM I fought so hard to get done). CSR will not change the appointment; my dispatcher had a heated discussion with the CSR about reality versus computer screen (CSR wanted me to blow of maintenance and drive tired). I had been, in spite of everything, ambivalent about leaving. These guys keep validating my decision. Two more weeks. Two more weeks. Two more weeks.
Pintlehook and TB John Thank this. -
