I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Tried but it wouldn't start one. The guy looked at me weird and wrote down some stuff.

 

^^^ Read these two to The Hot Chick, and she laughed her ### off.

Had a bad knock sensor and a bad aftertreatment sensor, both fixed under warranty about three hours.

Then they informed me there is a campaign on the idle management system, safety related, and asked if I wanted them to take care of it. I said, well, yeah...why would you have to ask? He says, "Because it will take us until Thursday to get it done."

I called in and gave dispatch the news. (When I asked about the "safety" part of the campaign, I learned it involves carbon monoxide, so I took it seriously)

Anyway, I told the boss what's what and asked him to call it. I'm in a hotel til Thursday getting breakdown pay. He took it pretty well. My last dispatcher would have excoriated me for not driving it til it broke down. So that takes some of the sting out of this. Also supposed to get me something to help out this Friday since I only got in one trip this week.

Not really Celadon's fault. And they're treating me like a human being. The money thing is really my own problem, regardless how it came about. In spite of this ignoble beginning, I'm optimistic about this account.
