It's not just the conventions either. It was a nightmare during the pope's visit also.

Never thought about that. I was in Chicago when OPRAH!! shot her show downtown; it was a nightmare zoo. I can only imagine the commotion for the freaking Pope.

I was in a backup once where I backed one mile down the interstate . Pulled into a rest area and logged a 10 hour break.
I had just started my 14.
    Effingham Illinois.
A truck had run into a bridge pillar .
    RIP driver.

Tried my whole time at Celadon to see my parents, denied three out of three times. Been here at Big M for two whole days and had a nice relaxing dinner and visit with them.

    This is better.

Receiver says I can park there overnight, so we're just gonna finish the run tonight and be there in the morning. It's tires, so it'll be a while unloading.

Several years ago someone tagged me in the ALS ice bucket challenge, and I completely forgot to do it.

Now I'm hoping I'm not the reason they haven't cured it yet.

Yesterday I95 was a parking lot from Richmond to Baltimore. I hopped off at Ruther Glen and took 301 to avoid the delays.

Then there was a multiple vehicle accident with fatality on the Nice Bridge (over the Potomac). And Delaware was one big construction zone (I haven't been through that way in years).

I ended up going 32 minutes over on my 14. Now I gotta call and tell them I went out of route to save time, but didn't, and I have an HOS violation on my second run with the company.

    Mondays....

Some days, no matter what we do, it's going to turn out wrong. Have faith in you and your ability to deal with it.
