I have another Hazmat load to pu tomorrow afternoon then run down to Greensburg, IN for a Thursday morning delivery then head back home.Captain Zoom Thanks this.

Graaaargh. Rough night.
Felt like something the cat dragged in, killed, ate, dragged back out, buried, dug up, then dragged back in.
Didn't sleep much. -
Guess you'll sleep good tonight then.

Fer sher.
My delivery appointment was moved from tomorrow morning to this evening. While I appreciate their faith in me, now I have to average 58mph all day including a drop and hook plus going through Indy and Detroit (delivers in Plymouth MI not Perrysburg--that's preplan pickup). I have 8.75hrs on my 70 so need to finish today anyhow.
Nobody told me there was WORK involved in being a trucker....Ooops Thanks this. -
Parking options are fairly limited in Plymouth. The rest area on NB I-275 is closed. There is a craphole pay to park ts at exit 20 on 275. There is a SB rest area somewhere near the south end of 275 that is open. Other than that, not much. I have a couple other places in mind that I don't want to discuss here. PM me if you need them.Ooops Thanks this.

Zoomy, see karma works, Celadon is having money problems.
Captain Zoom and mitrucker Thank this. -
Thanks brother!
I have 55 minutes left, so I'm going to gamble that I can make the Pilot in Ottawa Lake which is 51 miles from here. If I don't blow a tire I should be okay. I'm desperate for a shower. From there it will be a short hop to Perrysburg.
Then drop in Franklin IN and 35 mile bobtail to the Walmart 2 miles from home.
Off til Monday.
If I end up with a Pontiac Aztec I will probably suicide in a spectacular fashion. Otherwise I will post pics of the vehicle.Ooops Thanks this. -
Good day today, covered 511 miles with limited hours and a drop/hook. Live unloaded and made it to Pilot with 6 minutes to spare.
Made a casserole with chicken, rice, broccoli, and cheese for dinner, washed down with diet Orange Crush (it was on sale).
Found a low drive tire on post trip, but past experience with night dispatch (anywhere) is that if I'm not in a hurry (I'm not) then I should call it in when the shop is open. Saving myself the aggravation and just calling it in after 0600. It's not gonna get any flatter (30psi--musta picked up something in a work zone) and I'm not loaded (pickup in the morning about 10 miles from here).
Wish Phredd was here--I'd sacrifice him in a hot second if it would help me find a decent car Friday.
He follows my thread...guess that last means I'll never see him again. -
Crappy day here. Got to my 1300 pickup at noon. Didn't leave there until 1800. Drove straight to truckstop near delivery. Paid $15 to park. Wasn't going to park a Hazmat load at Walmart. Truck needs brake shoes when I get back tomorrow. Have to pick up in Cincinnati after my delivery. Oh boy. I can hardly wait. 11 hours left on my 70. Have the aforementioned delivery, pickup, and 365 miles to drive.Last edited: May 4, 2017
