Monday morning and back at it; picking up in Franklin and deliver in East Haven CT 0600 Wednesday. Don't look forward to the northeast traffic, but I remember an awesome diner right by the receiver run by this huge hairy Greek that had the most epic gyro omelets and pancakes. So, breakfast for me while they unload their tires.

Usually get a pretty good load out of New England via some broker or another.

    TB John Thanks this.

    I got one for ya.......
Company gives me a load to deliver tonight at 2200 in Arlington TX. Next load picks up at 0900 tomorrow morning in Grand Prairie TX. Uhh yeah, that's only going to work if someone allows me to park on site. I wonder wtf people are thinking sometimes. Cuz sure, there's parking in and around Dallas at that time of night.
Oh, and now I can't sleep. Grrrr

Captain Zoom and Ooops Thank this.

Zoomie, watch the tranny on that new ride o'yours.

I love me a solid Pontiac (have an '04 Grand Prix GTP), but a friend of mine had a G6 (not a REAL Pontiac!) and she had nothing but tranny problems after about a year of ownership. Something is goofed up in those trannies when they get some miles on them, and I can say from experience that transmission rebuilds ain't cheap!

$1800 for a full in case rebuild on mine (performance pack upgrade paddle shifter).

I'll debate that one. I have a 2005 Malibu Maxx (same as a G6). It has 262,000 on it. 3.5 engine 4 spd auto. Both working great.

Just dropping a warning, is all.

There ain't enough dynamite in the world to seperate me from my Pontiac.

My sons have both owned the same 06 Grand Prix GXP. 190,000 on that one. Car is still scary fast. My older son knows it tops out at 156mph.

Buddy of mine is trying to talk me into flipping mine to a rwd (can you say MASSIVE amount of total rebuilding?) and dropping his customized LS3 motor under the hood.

Theoretically doable. Theoritically. But it would be an AWESOME ghost! A custom 6.2 with full forged internals and a supercharger? Oh My God Yesss!

Captain Zoom and mitrucker Thank this.

That last sounds like something Jay Leno would do (he has a 600hp rear drive early model Olds Toronado he and his crew converted)
