I had two RX-7s, and loved them. Those binary engines, and that pseudo-rack-n-pinion, just makes me drool. :mbeard:

I have a thing for old German sports cars. I've owned a couple of BMW 2002s (round tail lights, not square), a BMW 3200 CS (actually a true GT in every sense of the word), and my personal favorite, a '74 Porsche 914. It's an amazing car. Manual steering, 4 wheel discs, and 5 speed transmission. Mine had a larger 2.0L engine from a '76, and it was more than plenty for that ultralight machine.

I also once owned a '76 Triumph, but I'm not gonna go there. German engineering is where it's at.

The 914 is one of her dream cars. Karman Ghias are getting ghastly in their pricing.

Those are cool. Saw one at a car show with a Toyota 1600 twin cam and 5 speed. Saw an MGB with the engine and trans from a 1985 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Got to drive that one. Cargasm.

I hate snow. I don't even like how it looks any more. Burned 13.75 hours covering 501 miles today. Sitting at TA in Erie PA til morning. Gotta drop in Chicago tomorrow then a quick 30 mile shag to the suburbs Monday morning, then back to Pleasant Prairie after 1300 to deliver in Buford GA by 1930 Tuesday. Then I'll have to sit to get hours back. Unless it takes too long to run tomorrow in which case I may lose the Buford run. We'll see.

And the temps are below zero in Western Michigan. Be careful, please.

Dang it driver! If I had known you were coming in, I would have stuck around up there! I just dropped my truck off at the Erie Truck Center around back yesterday morning. We could have had breakfast or something.
