I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

504 miles today. Should have been well over 600 but I got held up for close to 4hrs at delivery in the morning then slowed down real good later on the way down I-55. Need a 610-miler tomorrow by 1930 central. Getting rolling by 0630 and praying nothing slows me down. Delivery is in Cordell TX.

Bring it on.

 

Apparently Montezuma is satiated for the time being. Rolling hard for Cordell TX, about 1.5hrs ahead of schedule. Eating on the run today. Laundry tonight if I can find somewhere to park that has laundry in that area (which will be a neat trick).

Fired my dispatcher yesterday, went to a younger team who understand elogs and that there are only 24hrs in a day. A 67-mph truck cannot do 800 miles in one shift (legally).

Hot Chick is hibernating in the sleeper and refuses to come out. Guess I'll see her in time for Easter.

 

Delivered an hour and a half before deadline without a hitch. Bobtailed around the corner to a Shell to spend the night, grabbing an empty in the morning and head into Dallas to pick one up going to Mansfield LA by tomorrow night. Then I need one to Chicago to round out the week and take Sunday off.

 

Slept in this morning because only 7hrs left on my 70. I have about 240mi to do today and will be running off my recap til Saturday night, taking Sunday off, and hitting it like a psycho til Easter. Got fuel yesterday at $1.97/gallon so topped off a little early. That might hurt my paycheck a little this week but I'll have a head start on my fuel for next week. Unless, of course, I can run that fuel out before Sunday. No preplan yet, but the day is young.

Welp, time to go play in the mud (parked in a dirt lot and now it's raining and I have to bust out a pretrip).

Tell me again how glamorous this job is....

 

Got a trip Chicago by Saturday night. Will do a 34 after delivery, then a quick shag to Hammond IN Monday morning, then up to Pleasant Prairie WI for a haul to Breinigsville PA by Tues evening. Should give me about 2800mi this week and position me for 3200mi next week.
