I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Delivered in Bluffton IN this morning, DH to Montpelier OH for a load going to North Chicago then BT to Forest View (Cicero) for one that delivers in Pewaukee WI at 0730, then down to Pleasant Prairie for a ULine load to Cordell TX by 1930 Saturday. Then a 34 to catch my breath, then a jaunt into Dallas for a load of scrap going to Mansfield LA and reload right there headed back up to Hammond IN. Due in Hickory NC a week from Sat to visit family for Easter.

Bring it on.

 

Only hiccup was a loose fitting on some of the turbo plumbing which was fixed but seems to be working loose again, and I think I have a weak battery. Both issues will be addressed while I'm visiting family over Easter. Other than that it pulls okay, gets decent mileage (considering all the heavy loads I'm pulling), and the automatic hasn't put a foot wrong. The creep mode that now works in reverse as well as 1st-3rd gears makes things really easy. My chief complaint aboit this rig is there is nowhere to put a cooler, a la Freightliner/International/Kenworth/Every Other Linehaul Truck Sold In America. Ours sits between the seats--whatever. I'm netting around $1400-$1500/week. I can live with it.

Biggest surprise is the fuel economy, avg over 6mpg on heavy loads that have to run hard to get there on time.

 

Gonna bust out a 34 near Ft Worth after delivery tonight. There's a Pilot up I-35 with an IHOP. I just hope I can make it there before I hour out (traffic). Of course, if rec doesn't have any empties, what I plan on doing won't matter. Gotta run some scrap from Ft Worth to Mansfield LA Mon morning. Eat now, shower, drive. Om nom nom.

Debating getting a hotel tomorrow....

 

Awww, it ain't so bad...short hop across the interstate and you gotcher pick of restaurants and shopping, there'll be Internet access thanks to my mobile hot spot, the weather will be nice, and I'll have a certified Hot Chick with me the whole time. Of course, she's just started "that time of the month...."

I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT IF WHOEVER IS GOING AROUND THE COUNTRY AHEAD OF ME AND PISSINGG ALL OVER THE TOILET SEATS WOULD KNOCK IT OFF.
