Estes Express has the same program. Both are good companies.

OD is one of the best companies in the industry. Like most companies they have rules. They aren't suggestions or negotiations. Most are pretty reasonable. They bought a past employer of mine and I left because they had a no pet/rider policy when I was OTR with my dog.

    NavigatorWife and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

You dont need support to drive a truck .You need a friend with experience and owns their truck .Its not rocket science, but these schools making 5k a pop would make you think it is,The problem is only a handful of people on this site truly know the independent side of the independent driver,I've noticed alot of mega recruitment on this site,go to Forum on bad companies and read between the lines,The national average to move dry van( Requires second grade education)last I looked was $2.40 per mile ,if you drive 10,000 per month pros do that in 15 days sometimes 10,Not hard with own authority .All these stupid rules dont apply to you.The real truckers that are making money dont care about elogs ,there's a million ways around it all,Theres only a few of us that know how to do it,Of course I'll get bashed by a safety ,driving school, brainwashed ,probably recruiter or lease employees, That's 24000 per month 5k in fuel, you can get a nice truck for,1200-1700 per month ,insurance 2k thats 8 Grand in over head including unforseens, 10 you made 14k in 2 weeks and have off the rest of the month.Or work 25 days=30k.And you decide how taxes will be handled ,Iis a whole different ball game, but hey I'm a super trucker, dont listen to me.I dont run otr now ,iwant to be home with family, leased on to great company, make 8 to 12 k after overhead ,home everyday, off weekends,I bought my first truck before I had a cdl ,took test in my own truck, and it was a 9 car hauler, yeah i didnt know crap and hauled cars successfully, Be cause I know how to read and am not an idiot,It cost money to learn, there's speed bumps sometimes mountains, but driving someone else's truck will only give you 25 percent of what you need to know to truly enjoy this trucking life,and,75 percent misinformation.when your in the right hand lane driving 61mph in a swift truck and you see that decked out Pete or kw blowing by @ 79 mph hour , hes probably putting down between 1000-1400 miles that day,you should turn on your radio and talk to him,but you cant even have a radio,,Heck he probably even took a 4 hour knap, and if he gets dot he will pass, but he wont get dot because he knows the game,Where you at fellow real truckers
