Will they take me?
I'm 43 years old, and I have 10 years experience in various operations. Tanker, reefer, lowboy and others.
My experience is old. I haven't driven OTR since 1999.
I lost my CDL-A this year due to an expired medical card, so I'm starting from scratch. I am however, in probably the best condition I've ever been in (thanks, construction.)
I'm interested in the flatbed division, either regional or 7/3 - 7/4. I live 13 miles from I-70, in Missouri.
Tell me, folks. What are my odds?
I'm calling Roehl on Monday...

Call em, you might need to go through RDTC again tho to get that CDL back. I just finished up RDTC a week ago. It's three weeks and you leave with your CDL and an OTR job if everything works out. Nice place, great school, great people from my experience. I wish you the best of luck with it.

Thanks, goblue.
RDTC is a given. My experience is too old, and I have to get the A back anyway. I'm good with that.goblue Thanks this. -
Sounds like your good to go to me. You want it; take it.
phonedoc Thanks this. -
Thanks, Bayle. I've been talking with my wife tonight, just to make sure of things. I was driving when we got married, and she had a less than pleasant experience with a previous company. Our kids are grown now, and she'll be able to go with me somtimes...
We're good to go and I'm going to call on Monday. -
Well that was fast.
I filled out the app and took the survey on Saturday. Got the call from Kim today. Everything looks good and we're getting the paperwork rolling! -
yeah, things can move quick if all looks good. I actually think, if I remember right, I was called the same day. I had gone through the school I went to over 5 years prior.
-
Good to hear; Kim is great to work with and knows her stuff. You're in good hands.goblue Thanks this.

You sound like a pretty good candidate to me. Best of luck getting back behind the wheel!
