I'm curious, what are some of your favorite trucking companies. Also, what do you love about them?

Successful people make long-term decisions. Unsuccessful people make short-term decisions.

Positive outlook doesn't overcome a mis-managed company, no matter how hard you smile.

Been with Old Dominion 2 1/2 years . Love it here, make great pay, and spend each night away from the house in a hotel.

LOL that's the problem with *some drivers these days, too much pride ego. They feel like they can come to a company and run the show. They don't know that companies are in business to make profit and not to babysit or listen to whinny drivers. Companies are runned by humans, so there is NO such thing as 'perfect company', but a driver has the power to turn a good/average company to work perfectly for him. For example my company where I currently work has over 658 trucks but just 4-5 night dispatch overlooking the whole fleet, you can imagine how busy and unfriendly they'll sound when you call at night. But I don't focus on that negative part, instead I focus on all the positive things they have like; best day dispatchers, good equipments, MILES, safety bonuses, guarantee pay, annual raises, perfect hometime, amenities in every truck, respect for drivers and many more. Once a person starts to focus of the positives, the negatives disappears or becomes invisible to him.

I'll leave one final advice to anyone reading this; STAY AWAY from drivers who whine and are constantly complaining about everything, their negative attitude is very contagious.

    You've been warned.

I'll second that. Coming up on 2 years in February. Biggest complaint I have right now is that the city drivers keep pinching the linehaul trucks.
