Didnt blow through my hometime. Going home today getting home about midnight it looks like.

New truck isnt so much a POS as the old one. Black cascaida, 300 trucks newer, windshield leaks so bad the stereo is ruined, apu has a code set on it, apu ac doesnt work, passenger mirror is cracked...

    F this.

Windshield leaks in new FL's don't count...they're standard equipment!

Sorry for all the heck you're going though, man....just leave as professionally as you can.

As an aside, I left a company once. Left the tractor at one of their yards, but not the main terminal. I told them about it, and knew I was going to have to pay the mileage charge for retrieval. Fine. They didn't put "abandonment" on my DAC, but instead "unauthorized location". I was cool with that, and it never affected my getting another job. But that was some years ago, too.

This aint a new truck. However, its apparently a new passenger side windshield. Toll passes are laying on dash with no sign of ever being on the windshield, and aftermarket brand of glass too. But MAN, ive never seen a truck visibly leak enough water to have puddles on the dash and water damage the stereo ...just from sitting in a yard. And it had just been detailed, and youre telling me the detailin man didnt notice it? gawdd.

However...they work laying on the dash. hah. Until the middle of the night when it started turning on the "PLEASE CALL EZPASS" light on the NY thruway...does that mean werner forgot to pay the bill?

As far as leaving, im not even sure if i will yet. All the problems this truck has are pretty cut and dry and should be quick easy fixes as long as i dont ever go to that shop in allentown again. HAHA. I want a local job and may just stick it out til i get one. Atleast this truck starts every time. Exhaust even sounds better. And the shifter doesnt hit the dash in 7th gear...

I left CRST the same way you did, just left it at the terminal and went home..they didnt say anything. And werner often *tells* people to drop trucks off at drop yards. Hell, CRST told me to leave one at a truckstop!

That's quite a turnaround. You went from quitting to company man training newbs? Don't train people unless you intend to do it from the passenger seat...not the bunk.

I guess your FM is worthless or you don't get along with them. If you do that much border crossing I would think they would want you back on the road.
You should have told them the truck died before you drove it 70 miles to the terminal and had them tow you 50 to the dealer. You would have been going a lot quicker. The dealers don't fry drivers on this sort of stuff. They want the repair money and will take your side. This is 5 years expirience talking dealing with Werner road break down. Sometimes you have to change the color of the crayon your using.:biggrin_2556:

    Good luck

I'm not a "company man". I still hate werner! Hah. I'd be a better trainer than most werner trainers though...they also make good money. :p
